Love Like Libby! Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities

October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But this year’s October is

looking a little different for Cumberland than it has in the past. Over the summer, Libby O’Guin, the Director of Student Life, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Libby is a wife and mother of two, a Cumberland alum, and has been dedicated to her work for the students for over 20 years. Last year she won SGA’s Most Outstanding Staff Member Award for her love for the student body and Cumberland. To put it mildly, Libby O'Guin has touched the hearts of many students over the years.

This year Cumberland will be introducing the slogan “Love Like Libby” in her honor to support her and her family through this journey, with the idea that there is no one who loves quite like Libby.

October will be filled with many events for support and fundraising to help her and her family get through this chapter in her life. She has been there supporting students since she has been here at Cumberland, and it is time for us to return the favor. We encourage you to get involved and show her that same love she has shown us all these years.

Below are the events being hosted for her:
